Distribution of Polychaeta, one of major groups of macrozoobenthos, has figured out for Avachinsky Gulf on the data of benthos survey in 2009 (30 samples from the bottom in the depth range 30–137 m). Averaged biomasses and densities for some abundant and frequent families or species of polychaetes are provided. Distribution of the biomass and density in the gulf is demonstrated. Similarity between faunas of different types of bottom strucrute is figured out on the base of Sorensen’s similarity index.

Biological characteristics of East-Siberian grayling inhabiting the basins of the Khinike, Kulu, Intrigan rivers are observed on the basis of the data obtained during 2008 and 2009. The distribution of grayling by its biological characteristics and the age structure is shown. The sexes' correlation within the mentioned water bodies is revealed.
CHARACTERIZATION OF CHUM SALMON (ONCORHYNCHUS KETA) SPAWNING STOCK IN ZHUPANOVA RIVER, SOUTH-EAST KAMCHATKA

Data about age composition, sex ratio and size-weight characteristics of chum salmon of Zhupanova River have been analyzed first time, and their dynamics has been demonstrated for the entire period of observation (1991, 1999–2011). Data on the dynamics of chum salmon catches, density of spawning and spawning runs in the basin of the river are provided. An increase in the abundance of chum salmon progeny generations with an increase of the biogenic mass of parental chum and pink salmon carcasses (r=+0,95, P=0,01) has been demonstrated for the even years 1996–2004. As for the odd years 1995–2005 of spawning, it can be observed only a trend to growth in the abundance of chum salmon progeny generations with an increase of the total biogenic mass of salmon carcasses.
STATE OF THE DALNEYE LAKE ECOSYSTEM (IN THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE) RECONSTRUCTION OF STOCK ABUNDANCE OF DWARF SOCKEYE SALMON FOR 60 YEARS

An attempt of making a long term reconstruction of stock abundance of dwarf sockeye salmon was made on the base of regular data about the dwarfs and condition of their forage base in the Dalneye Lake for the period 1938–1995. General methodical grounds used for estimation of the dwarfs until and after the 1970s have been analyzed. Analysis of archive and modern data on CPUE in spawning grounds of the lake has revealed periodic fluctuations of the stock and drivers of these fluctuations. There is correlation between stock abundance of the dwarfs and the biomass of forage zooplankton. Analysis of age structure of the dwarfs for the entire period of observations indicates that changes of the absolute abundance of the dwarfs were accompanied by changes of the relative number of age groups of the dwarfs.
ESTIMATION OF THE CHARACTER OF SPLITTING THE AGES OF MATURE SOCKEYE SALMON OF THE OZERNAYA RIVER ON THE RATE OF GAMETOGENESIS IN JUVENILE ESCAPEMENT

The rational use of fish stocks implies strict regulation of commercial removal and level of sustainable production on the base of scientifically grounded forecast. Regular methods of forecasting salmon abundance not always succeed to provide sufficient accuracy, and this is why there are many attempts directed to improving the methods of forecasting sockeye salmon spawning stock and especially for the Ozernaya River sockeye salmon stock, which is one of principle stocks in Asia. Suggested method for estimation of the character of splitting the ages of maturation in generation and for assessment of the abundance of current and next generations requires further improving.
THE DYNAMICS OF SOME QUALITATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF OOCYTES OR HERRING OF KORFSKY AND KARAGINSKY GULFS

The age- and year-dependent variations of the egg weigh and diameter were analyzed for the Korf-Karaginsky stock of Pacific herring at the 5 stage of gonad maturation; specific gravity and weight of the eggs during incubation and correlation between larval weight and oocyte quality were examined. Oocyte qualitative characteristics demonstrate tight relation to biological characteristics of spawners (age, body length and weight, fecundity). It is interesting that the long-term dynamics of the egg weight of prespawning herring demonstrates a cycle of 11 years, determined by the dynamics of age structure of spawning stock of the Pacific herring population. The larval body length demonstrates tight dependence to the weight and diameter of oocyte. Embryonic survival does not depend from the quality of the oocytes, but demonstrates a slight trend to an increase in the case of decrease of egg specific gravity.
REPRODUTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF PACIFIC HERRING CLUPEA PALLASII IN TAUYSKAYA BAY, THE NORTHERN OKHOTSK SEA

Earlier time of intense runs of herring into tauyskaya bay comparing to the time of the runs to the east or west coasts of the okhotsk sea is demonstrated. Mass maturation of herring individuals in the tauyskaya bay takes place in the age of 4 or 5 years at the body length of 24–26 cm. Embryonal period of tauyskaya bay herring individuals takes 557 hours since fertilization. The total survival of larvae from the number of fertilized eggs is about 51%. The herring stock of the tauyskaya bay demonstrates significant difference from the okhotsk sea herring population in many characteristics.
RESULTS PHYSICO-CHEMICAL STUDIES AND ORGANOLEPTICHESKOY ESTIMATIONS OF BOILED MEAT MUSSEL AFTER PROCESS OF THE CRYOGENIC FREEZE

WEST KAMCHATKA SAFFRON COD, FEEDING, FOOD COMPOSITION, SIZE GROUPS, ZOOPLANKTON, BENTHOS
The food, consumed by saffron cod in September of 2010 in the northern part of the shelf of West Kamchatka, consisted of 21 components. The diet included a high percent of Decapoda (52.3%). More than 36.0% of the diet were represented by true worms Annelida, including the classes Polycheta, Echiurida, Sipunculida and nine families. The samples of stomachs of saffron cod, caught in the southern part of the shelf in June of 2011, demonstrated a high diversity of food components (44 species from 34 families). An important contribution to the diet of saffron cod for mentioned period was made by Euphausidacea, Mysidacea and Polychaeta. The analysis has not demonstrated a high selectivity of saffron cod in relation to forage species, the fish actually eats the most abundant and available organisms.
THE BIOLOGY OF ORDINARY SMELTS HYPOMESUS OLIDUS (OSMERIDAE) OF LAKES CHISTOYE (TAUYSKAYA LIP, NORTHERN PART OF SEA OF OKHOTSK)

Data on linearly-weight and age structure, to growth and features of reproduction ordinary smelts hypomesus olidus, living in lakes chistoye. It is established, that in conditions of a researched reservoir the smelt is characterized by low rates of growth, than in the majority of populations of a kind of far east reservoirs. Despite of wide representation of generations of mature fishes age of 1-8 full years, the basis of spawning herd of a smelt is formed with 3-one-year-old individuals. Call of mature individuals in the spawning river occurs round the clock, to a maximum of activity in the afternoon. The basic contribution to reproduction bring for the first time ripening and the most numerous самки 3-one-year-old age.
THE DANISH SEINE FISHERY IN KAMCHATKA: EFFECTS OF THE DANISH SEINE RIGGING MODERNIZATION ON THE STATUS OF STOCK–CATCH SYSTEM

Analysis of structural changes in Danish seine fishery in Kamchatka is provided. The analysis included checking the methods of Danish seine assemblage, used in commercial fisheries for the 60-years history of the use of this type of fishery. It is demonstrated, that the Danish seines with elements on bottom trawl can cause significant growth of negative effects on bottom communities, what makes the seines similar to the bottom trawls, therefore it is required to undertake measures on regulation of the fishery at the expense of limitation of some elements in the Danish seines, including the hard groundropes with rollers, the rockhoppers, the lamellar groundropes and any other constructions of horizontal pillars. The limitation can enhance selective characteristics of the Danish seine fishery and with that reduce negative effects on the bottom communities on the shelf of Kamchatka.
USAGE OF DANISH SEINE SURVEYS FOR RESEARCHES OF BIORESOURCES OF INSHORE WATERS OF KAMCHATKA: METHODICAL APPROACHES AND PRELIMINARY RESULTS

Statistical comparison of structure of species and catches on the basis of data of parallel trawling and Danish seine surveysin the Western Kamchatka in 2007–2009 is executed. Authentic differences in a share of catches for mass trade kinds of fishes:cods, navaga, plaice are shown. The conclusion on necessity of carrying out of experiments on definition of fishing efficiency of Danish seines is drawn. Prospects of usage of Danish seine surveys in KamchatNIRO are discussed.
THE COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTIC OF STANDARD SURVEYS IN THE AVACHINSKY GULF AT USE DANISH SEINES FAR EAST AND DANISH TYPES IN 2009–2010

The comparative analysis standard danish seine surveys in the Avachinsky gulf in 2009 and 2010 is made. As a result of the analysis of structure of species of danish seines catches have been al-located three most mass trade species prevailing during all period of carrying out of surveys — a pollоck, a cod and a two-linear flounder. Them used as markers at comparison of dimensional structure, distribution and the considered biomass.
RESULTS OF ANALYSIS OF COMMERCIAL EXPERIMENTING WITH DIFFERENT MODES OF SELECTIVE SYSTEM FOR BOTTOM TRAWL HARVESTING NORTHERN SHRIMP

The paper analyzes the results of comparative tests of various design options of selective system used in the trawl fishery north Donne-lending branches in the Sea of Japan. Analysis of the data to assess the efficacy of the selective system in the experimental subjects showed no fishing no statistically significant differences in the use of selective gratings. The results show that the further application of the selective system in the subzone of Primorye inappropriate.
USING A METHODS OF UNDERWATER RESEARCHES FOR MODELING OF BEHAVIOR OF HYDROBIONTES IN INTERACTION WITH BOTTOM TRAWL SYSTEM
